La Fenice Grand Cavalchina Masked Ball - Venice Carnival 2009
Teatro La Fenice, Venice's fabled opera house, is staging a Grand "Cavalchina" Ball during the 2009 Carnevale di Venezia. The masked ball will take place on Saturday, February 17, when the theatre's seats will be removed to create an elegant ballroom for just one night.The program begins at 8 p.m. with imaginary characters from the opera house welcoming guests to an imaginary Carnival celebration of the early 1800s.
